Why “Adamas”

Adamas is the Greek root of the word diamond. It means unbreakable — the thing that cannot be cut by anything softer than itself. Choosing it in Botswana is deliberate.

The parallel is not the value of the stone but how it is made: ordinary carbon, held under sustained pressure, arranged into a structure that does not yield.
